Get Involved With Big Blue

We love, love, love our parent volunteers at Glen Park School, and there are many ways you can get involved. From garden work days to field trip chaperones, we graciously welcome you! When parents get connected to the school, children do better.

Here are some great ways to volunteer

  • Come to a PTO meeting and get involved in a committee that interests you.

  • Speak with your child's teacher about volunteering in the classroom or chaperoning field trips.

  • Get involved in the School Site Council and help shape the academic curriculum.

  • Participate in our annual fundraising events: Fall Carnival, the Rainbow Runathon, and the Auction.

  • Prepare fresh fruits and vegetables for our daily fresh snack program.

  • Come to an evening family event at school. There are regular activities like STEAM night, movie nights, holiday dances, and more.

  • Dig in the dirt with us on garden work days, or sign up to take care of the school chickens.

  • Coach one of our soccer or basketball teams.

  • Help out during your child’s lunch and stay to be a recess monitor.

  • Come read with a child at school or after school.

Don't see what you had in mind? Let us know! We are a community-supported school and we love new ideas. Get in touch and we can send you and your ideas to the right person. We love to match the school's needs with your interests and abilities.
