Dulce Baron
Kindergarten Spanish Biliteracy
I enjoy creating a strong community and taking the time to get to know my students’ families. It’s important in the Biliteracy Program since students continue their elementary school journey together, starting here in kindergarten. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, attending art and live music events and visiting farmers markets.

I am looking forward to teaching and engaging with this community! I am originally from San Francisco and I went to school and grew up near Glen Park, so I have many memories of this neighborhood. I have worked in the education and non profit fields for almost 12 years. I love to read, discover museums and restaurants, and am very into music. You can find me singing karaoke weekly!

I love how inclusive our Glen Park community is, and I love helping my students in the Special Day Classrooms build relationships with their peers. I also love how closely I get to work with my colleagues and all the moments of joy that we get to share with our students. When I am not at work, I love hanging out with my son, reading, cooking and hiking.

I love the "ah ha" moments when students start understanding letter/sound patterns and manipulations when reading. There is nothing better than the "I got it now" expression. I also love connecting with students and families on a personal level. Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, participating in sports (skiing, swimming, running, hiking, walking), reading, watching football, going to wineries, attending concerts, and exploring.
