Top 12 Ways to Volunteer at Big Blue!
We love, love, love our parent volunteers at Glen Park School, and there are many ways you can get involved. From garden work days to field trip chaperons to assistance in the classroom, we graciously welcome you! Also when parents get connected to the school, children do better. Research shows children whose parents are involved get better grades, do better on tests, and have fewer discipline problems at school.
Here are some great ways to volunteer:
Come to a PTO meeting and get involved in a committee that interests you.
Become a room parent, or speak with your child's teacher about volunteering in the classroom or chaperoning field trips.
Join us for coffee and communication folder stuffing every Tuesday at 9:00am in the cafeteria.
Participate in the distribution of the Fresh Snack Program, Monday through Friday mornings in the cafeteria.
Get involved in the School Site Council and help shape the academic curriculum.
