Hello, Glen Park Parents!

This 2016-17 school year is shaping up to be an amazing year for us. There are many new ideas and plans in the works! We also have some key events happening in the upcoming months that need a lot of volunteer work to make happen. Please let us know which event you would like to help by emailing pto@glenparkschool.org and we will put you in touch with the appropriate person.

Spanish Translation - We need bilingual parents to help translate flyers and other brief documents into Spanish. If you can help, please respond to this message or contact Amy DiLaura directly.

Fresh Snack Program - Our Fresh Snack Program provides every student with a fresh, organic fruit or vegetable snack Monday thru Friday. Funded by our PTO, this parent-run program brings our children the freshest seasonal produce for optimal nutrition between breakfast and lunch. Want to help? STEAM Night - Innovators Lab! - This is a family event and is super fun for all. We need help with planning, set-up, facilitation assistance and breakdown for the night's workshops. Contact Erika Bell or Susan Tramontana

Rainbow Runathon - For this school-wide event, students solicit sponsorship (online or using a pledge form) and everyone participates to raise money for Glen Park. We need people on the day of the event to help monitor the course and cheer the kids on, coordinate volunteers, and break down the event.  Contact Tawnya Marsh if you'd like to help.

This is a school-wide event where children solicit sponsorship to participate in the Walk. We need help with set-up, facilitation assistance and breakdown of the event. Contact Dani Webster

Annual Silent Auction & Party - A spring silent auction and party for Glen Park parents, staff, and the greater community. We – Glen Park families, friends, and staff – solicit 100% of the auction items! We will also be having an online auction so more of our friends and neighbors can support Glen Park School. Contact Elena DiMuzio

  • Ask Local Businesses - Local merchants – especially ones you visit frequently – are a great source of donations for the Silent Auction. Here is a copy of a generic solicitation letter you can provide the business. Please make sure to include your name and contact information at the bottom of the letter. When you do contact a business (even if they do not give a donation), contact Elena DiMuzio so she can add the contacted business to our list.
  • Tangible Donations - Are you an artist or craft maker? Consider making something that we can auction off to benefit our school. Also, if you have any new, unused items that you would like to give, contact Elena DiMuzio
